What You Can Do To Help Striking Goodyear Workers & Families
15,000 workers at Goodyear Tire plants in the United States and Canada are on strike to preserve domestic industrial jobs and maintain company-paid retiree health care benefits. They're in a tough fight, and need all the solidarity from friends and allies they can get. You can help.
-
Call Goodyear corporate offices at 330-796-1145 or
bob_keegan@goodyear.com (Bob Keegan) and 330-796-4550 or
jon_rich@goodyear.com (Jon Rich) and tell them you're against shipping our jobs overseas and against the company abandoning tire plant retirees
-
Call your local tire stores, tell them local people are gearing up to support the Goodyear strikers and urge them to support the Goodyear strikers. (See

-
Adopt-A-Local – The USW is establishing an Adopt-A-Local program where other local unions can help a particular striking Goodyear local, organize support rallies, raise funds, provide Christmas presents for the children, etc.
-
Adopt-A-Store – Many friends and allies of the Goodyear strikers are helping to add economic pressure in support of the workers and publicize this struggle by picking out a local tire store selling Goodyears and handbilling customers about the on-going dispute.

If your local union or organization wants to help out on the Adopt-A-Local or Adopt-A-Store campaigns, please contact the United Steelworkers at 877-511-8792 or solidarity@usw.org with the name of your group, a contact person, and phone number and/or email address.
