Local 1298 Creates H.A.V.O.C.

From Local 1298:

Last week our members created H.A.V.O.C. at the New Britain Rock Cats game where first we leafleted in the parking lot an hour before the game and then came game time!

Many members sat in bleachers overlooking the AT&T Patio and made sure the Rock Cats fans knew what AT&T was really about. AT&T is a corporate supporter for the Rock Cats but doesn’t want to support their employees. Our members had fun watching the game with their family and friends and at the same time, in between innings, waved signs of AT&T Play Fair and AT&T Keep the Work in Connecticut!

Things got a little exciting when at one point we thought we would be shut down by the police but through peaceful discourse with the police and with the Rock Cats manager we were able to negotiate back row seating and the ability to keep showing our signs and chanting against AT&T between innings. Talk about a Win Win for the Home Team. AT&T should take a lesson in negotiation!
