Preliminary Agenda
Here is a preliminary agenda with a description of topics, issues and workshops currently being planned for the 2012 Health, Safety and Environment Conference.
Logistics and Registration Information
Conference Registration
Please complete your registration by going to www.cwa-union.org/hseconference, selecting the CWA icon, and completing the on-line registration form.
There will be three levels of registration fees for CWA activists:
- Monday (Union plenary session and CWA activist meeting) - $75.00
- Monday-Wednesday (Union-only plenary session, CWA activist meeting, and participation in one two-day training session) - $200.00
- Monday-Friday (Union-only plenary session, CWA activist meeting, and either two two-day training sessions or one four-day training session - $400.00.
Space is limited for the national conference and each of the training programs. On-line registration will be completed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Walk-ins will not be accepted. You may use a major credit card to make your on-line registration payment. If you are not able to make your payment by credit card, please arrange to have a check made payable to the “USW Secretary-Treasurer” and sent to:

Please indicate on the subject line of your check the name of the individual(s) registering with the payment and include a copy of the registration form(s). It is important you complete this process so we can match your check to the registration.
A complimentary continental breakfast will be provided each day.
Participants will be responsible for hotel room and incidental costs.
Hotel Registration
Hotel rooms for the Westin Pittsburgh Convention Center Hotel, 1000 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, are $125.00 plus tax for a single/double room per day. There is an additional charge of $10.00 for each additional person. Reservations may be made either on-line or by phone. To register online, go to starwoodmeeting.com/Book/uswhealthsafety2012.
To make reservation by phone, please call the Westin Hotel at (412) 281-3700 and identify yourself as attending the CWA/USW 2012 Health, Safety, and Environment Conference.
A block of rooms will be held until February 10, 2012. All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card and one-night’s deposit is required. Hotel cancellations will be accepted 72 hours prior to the day of your arrival. If a cancellation is not made, the room charge and tax will be billed to the credit card on file. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m.
