Strategic Industry Fund: Rules

1. Local unions, along with the appropriate Vice President(s), will develop a strategic campaign plan.
2. Each plan will include specific goals, a detailed budget, and prior to implementation, a process for review with Local unions.
3. The budgeted items shall not include reimbursement for any salaries in the CWA budget, or payment of debts.
4. The budgeted items may include financial support for CWA Local members who are working on an SIF campaign or delivering strategic education.
5. The strategic plan must be approved by the CWA Executive Board and sent to the Defense Fund Oversight Committee (DFOC).
6. The DFOC will have oversight responsibilities and will report to each convention on the activity of the SIF.
7. All plans will be evaluated periodically and at the conclusion of the strategic campaign; evaluations will be shared with the DFOC.
