After months of delays and intimidation by management, almost 9,700 American Airlines passenger service agents are voting on the question of union representation, even as desperate executives of American Airlines’ parent corporation AMR continued efforts to smother employees’ rights.

The National Mediation Board mailed out voting instructions to agents on Dec. 4th; voting by telephone or Internet runs through January 15th.
