Bargaining resumed today with a conversation about commission chargebacks based on the data the Company provided. The Union will now further review the data in order to formulate a proposal addressing the chargeback period in LOA 11-Sales Quota Relief.

The Union met several times with the Company today to address the unresolved issues that still remain open. The Union passed new proposals on Article 22-Vacations and Article 24-Excused Days with Pay. We are still attempting to improve upon the existing language and to address the restrictions surrounding both articles to allow for more flexibility and improvement.

After yet another failed attempt at reaching a new tentative agreement before contract expiration, the Company and Union agreed to extend the contract. This means that the terms and conditions of the current contract will remain in effect while bargaining continues.

The Union made a return trip to the bargaining table late this afternoon to get an answer from the Company on our comprehensive proposal made earlier today. There was little progress made.

Bargaining resumed today with a pleasant surprise from our Union Brothers and Sisters. As the bargaining committee was in discussion with Company, many of our union friends were circling around the hotel where our meetings have been taking place making sure the Company knew we came to get a fair contract and that we didn’t come alone.

Bargaining resumed today and for the first time since we started back on January 22, 2013 we had multiple meetings that lasted more than 10 minutes with some progress being made. Several tentative agreements were reached but the rejections still outweighed the progress that was made.

Bargaining resumed today and for the first time since bargaining started back on January 22, 2013, a tentative agreement was reached on one (1) section of Article 19-Basis of Compensation specific to Market to Market transfers. It’s a small step, but at least we got one.
