The Union Plus discount for union members for AT&T Mobility plans is now 15 percent, up from 10 percent, effective this week. The discount applies to monthly individual and family cell phone plans over $29.99, including plans covering Apple's new iPhone4 and earlier models.

CWA members at AT&T Mobility in District 3 ratified a new four-year agreement by a 68 percent "yes" vote. The agreement covers about 11,200 workers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

CWA District 3 reached a tentative three-year agreement with AT&T covering nearly 700 workers in the National Directory and Customer Assistance unit. The workers handle directory and customer service for AT&T Mobility customers.

Just like 40,000 other CWA members at AT&T Mobility, 315 workers from the former Centennial Wireless in Indiana and Michigan have a union voice, joining CWA through majority sign up. In Indiana, some 290 customer care representatives at the Ft. Wayne call center and a 10-person statewide unit of technicians now are represented by CWA Local 4900.

CWA's District 3 bargaining team reached a tentative four-year agreement at AT&T Mobility that provides wage increases of 10 percent, upgrades job titles and includes other improvements. The tentative agreement, reached just before the April 16 contract expiration, covers more than 11,200 workers. The bargaining committee unanimously recommended ratification; members will be voting on the proposed agreement.
