Sixty-three cleaners and hostesses at Airway Cleaners, at Newark Airport, voted for CWA representation on Sept. 7. The election was a contesting election between CWA and the independent non-affiliated United Trades Construction and Industrial Union. The vote was 33 for CWA, 15 for the United Trades, and 1 for "no-union." Local 1032 organizer Mikki Santiago and Representative Mario Rivera worked on this campaign.
