Waukesha County, Wis., Clerk Kathy Nickolaus (R) says she discovered more than 14,000 uncounted votes – two days after the incumbent Republican candidate lost the election for Supreme Court Judge by 204 votes.

Nickolaus said that on election night, the votes for the city of Brookfield were sent to the clerk’s office but that she forgot to hit save on her personal computer used to tally the county votes.

These “discovered” votes turn the election results upside down and put David Prosser, who’s backed by Walker, about 7,500 votes ahead of Jo Anne Kloppenburg, an assistant attorney general.

According to The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, “Nickolaus has had a long career in Republican politics” and worked in the Assembly Republican caucus during the time that Prosser, a former Republican lawmaker, served as the Assembly speaker.

The Cap Times in Madison reported that  Nickoluas “has a history of secretive and erratic handling of election results.”

Citizen Action of Wisconsin has called “an immediate federal investigation and immediate impoundment of all computer equipment, ballots, and other relevant evidence needed to verify a fair vote count in Waukesha County.”
