CWA Applauds Confirmation of Gina McCarthy to Head EPA

Washington, D.C. -- The Communications Workers of America commends the Senate for its confirmation of Gina McCarthy as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. Her confirmation, like that of so many other highly qualified executive branch nominees, was long overdue. 

The Senate action this week demonstrates that a broad coalition like Fix the Senate Now, an organization of environmental groups, labor, civil rights and community activists, people of faith, students and more, can effectively mobilize Americans to make sure their voices are heard.
