This blog documents the Tony Mazzocchi Center's (TMC) efforts in training a new generation of health & safety activists within the CWA.
Through the combined efforts of the Communication Workers of America, United Steelworkers, and Labor Institute, the TMC aims to raise the bar for Health & Safety activism by: 1, instructing CWA rank & file members using the most up to date Health & Safety methodology; 2, strengthening existing links between CWA local activists; 3, creating new links between H&S activists both within the CWA and across unions (USW); 4, sharing H&S resources and expertise between the USW, CWA, and L.I.
USW/CWA H&S integration training is coordinated jointly by: Dave LeGrande (CWA Director of Occupational Safety and Health), John Scardella (TMC Program Coordinator), Les Leopold (Labor Institute Director)
