Up to what age must plans cover “children” with pre-existing conditions?

Since September of 2010 the Affordable Care Act has prohibited insurance companies from denying coverage to children under 19 years old due to a pre-existing condition. Beginning in 2014, insurance companies will have to offer coverage to people of all ages regardless of pre-existing conditions.
