Washington, D.C -- The Communications Workers of America will review today’s decision by the Federal Communications Commission approving the sale of Verizon landlines to Frontier Communications. The FCC approved Verizon's bid to sell 4.8 million landlines in 14 states.
CWA District 2 Vice President Ron Collins said CWA would evaluate the decision to determine “what action we can take to best address the consumer and labor issues we raised over the past year.”
CWA especially raised concerns about continuing service quality and access to high speed broadband for Frontier customers, the majority of whom live in rural areas in the 14 states.
