Day 4 was another day of activism with the local Occupy movement, with marchers linking up with twenty young activists camping in downtown Poughkeepsie near the Bank of America. The day's marching began with a fast pace from the Kingston Verizon Wireless store. After stopping at Occupy Poughkeepsie, marchers joined a large teach-in at Vassar College to rally the crowd into the fight against Verizon's greed. Many students, who face a terrible job market, are rallying to the Occupy protests. The day ended across the street from the Wappingers Falls Verizon Wireless with a rally and barbeque. About 50 people from Locals 1120, 1103 and 1101, as well as the Mayor of Wappingers Falls turned out to cheer on the marchers and protest the 1 percent at Verizon.
