On September 16, 2012, Frank Tanner, a long-time member of CWA Local 9410, San Francisco, California, and employee of Pacific Telephone succumbed to asbestos-caused lung cancer. Frank held many positions in the local including vice president, executive board member, organizer, and steward. Frank was also active in the A. Philip Randolph Institute. Frank was exposed to asbestos while working as a frameman and switchman.
CWA sends it sincere sympathies to Frank’s wife and other family members.
