IUE-CWA, GE Reach Tentative Pact

IUE-CWA reached a tentative national agreement with General Electric Co., on June 15. IUE-CWA Division President Edward L. Fire said the settlement meets the union's goals of "safeguarding affordable health insurance and substantially increasing pensions for our members," among other gains.

IUE-CWA local union leaders will meet Wednesday, June 18 to review the agreement and vote whether to submit it to the membership for ratification. More details will be available after that meeting.
