“Friends don't let friends lose jobs!” That was the rallying cry for CWA members and allies protesting at the New York office of U.S. Congressman Steve Israel on July 12.
Rep. Israel has supported CWA and Verizon employees in the past, but has refused to stand with the workers in our effort to stop the Verizon/Cable deal currently in the works in DC. The deal could effectively destroy thousands of telecomm jobs and widen the digital divide.
Congressman Israel: Stand up for workers and kill the deal!
