Sisters and Brothers,

Per our RMC Bylaws and Election Rules the following nominees have no challengers and therefore are elected by acclamation. The District/Sector Presidents shall also serve as delegates to CWA Conventions during their term of office and the District/Sector Vice Presidents shall serve as alternates to the CWA Conventions during their term of office. They are:

    RMC District 1 President - Patrick Welsh

    RMC District 2 Vice President - Jenny Sylvester

    RMC District 4 Vice President - Marcelene Gregory

    RMC District 6 President - Ray Kramer

    RMC District 6 Vice President - Priscilla Brown

    RMC District 7 President - Judy Fries

    RMC District 7 Vice President - Mary Cooke

    RMC District 9 President - Addie Brinkley

    RMC District 13 President - Steve Yokopenic

    RMC District 13 Vice President - Joseph C. Kincade. Jr.

    RMC AFA Sector President - Patricia Friend

    RMC AFA Sector Vice President - Georgia Nielsen

There are multiple nominees for the following RMC District Positions. They are:

    RMC District 3 President - Dusty Winters

    RMC District 3 President - Rita Scott

    RMC District 3 Vice President - Mary Curry

    RMC District 3 Vice President - Gwendolyn Parker

    RMC District 4 President - Annie Flack

    RMC District 4 President - Stella Petties-Howard

    RMC District 9 Vice President - Ronnie Kinney

    RMC District 9 Vice President - Jim Gordon

Per the CWA Constitution - Article 5, Section 6, Retired Members’ Council “The elections shall be conducted in accordance with Council bylaws, federal and provincial laws and this Constitution. Any challenge to the Council Executive Board elections or Council officers’ elections shall be resolved in accordance with the Council bylaws. You will find the current RMC bylaws at www.cwa-union.org/rmc .

The following are the logistics for the October 2015 RMC Chapter Presidents and Vice Presidents Elections. These are based on CWA Constitution and RMC Council bylaws.

Aug. 31, 2015 Monday

Last day for self-nominations to be submitted by RMC Candidates.

Oct 1, 2015 Wednesday

All Nominees are notified of verification membership eligibility. Per RMC Bylaws Write-in candidates shall not be permitted.

Oct 6, 2015 Thursday

Campaign Insert. One page Candidate Information Sheet is due by end of business day October 6, 2015. The RMC will insert a one page campaign flyer as provided by the candidate in each appropriate Local Chapter Ballot Package.

The flyer is limited to a one 8.5x11 inches, single sided sheet. Unless provided by the nominee this campaign flyer will be photo copied in black and white for the ballot packages.

Oct 8, 2015 Wednesday

Final Verification of Local Chapters August 1, 2015 Voting Strength, and Mailing of the Ballot Packages to Chapter Presidents.

Nov 10, 2015 Monday

Designated Observers’ for November 13, 2015. November 10, 2015 Last day to notify the Election Chair of Candidates designated observer for the November 13, 2015 count. On the day of the count each candidate may have an observer present at their own expense.

Nov. 12, 2015 Thursday

All ballots must be received at the CWA Headquarters, 501 3rd Street N.W., 10th Floor, Washington DC 20001 no later than November 12, 2015 by 4PM, in order to be eligible for counting.

You should ensure that your Name and RMC Chapter # are printed legibility on the outside return envelope. Please do not mark on the “secret ballot envelope”

Nov. 13, 2015 Friday

Counting of the Ballots. Thirty-five days after the mailing of the ballot packages the ballots will be counted. RMC Election Chair shall oversee the verification, counting of the ballots and certification of the election.
