CWA marches for justice in Seattle Pride Parade

In June 2014, T-Mobile employees took to the streets of Seattle for the Annual Pride Parade. Their message for T-Mobile — a main sponsor for the event? You can’t just talk the talk when it comes to equality — it’s time for real action.

As a direct result of their efforts to bargain for improved working conditions and benefits, our brothers and sisters at T-Mobile are facing intimidation, bullying, and even firings. T-Mobile’s corporate support for equal rights is a real victory, but their unwillingness to afford their employees a voice in the workplace shows that we have a long way to go in the fight for workers rights.

Communications Workers of America activists, along with other groups from the greater Seattle area were proud to join the march and lend their voices to this call for justice. For the CWA/Unity@Mobility community, workers rights are human rights. U@M members know the kind of change we can impact when we work together &mdahs; it’s time T-Mobile employees are granted that same freedom.
