“Union Yes! Verizon No!” “Can you hear us now?” The chants echoed in Minneapolis last Thursday, as several hundred members of the National Association of Letter Carriers took to the streets during their national convention to march in support of workers at Verizon. The protesters became a sea of red t-shirts as they descended on a downtown Verizon store, demanding “Corporate Greed Must Stop!”
Why did Wayne Birch, an NALC member from Atlanta, Georgia join the rally against Verizon? “We’ve got to have some solidarity,” he explained.
