National contract negotiations between the Communications Workers of America and AT&T get underway Monday, April 6, in Washington, D.C. CWA represents nearly 50,000 employees at AT&T; the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers represents about 1,800. The current agreement expires May 30.

CWA members in locations nationwide will hold solidarity rallies and events as bargaining begins.

Communities where events are scheduled include:

Morristown, NJ; Charleston, WV; Richmond, VA; Oakton, VA; Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Lake Mary, FL; Orlando, FL; Jacksonville FL; Worthington, OH; Dallas, TX; St Louis, MO; Lee Summit, MO; Kansas City, MO; San Antonio, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO; Minneapolis, MN; and Pittsburgh, PA.
