Statement by the CWA on the tentative national agreement with the American Red Cross

Washington, D.C. -- This first-ever national tentative settlement covering some 4,000 workers at American Red Cross operations in 24 states is a positive step toward for Red Cross workers and the public we serve.

Union members will vote on the tentative settlement with a ratification deadline of Oct. 2, 2015.

CWA represents Red Cross health care workers in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.

Covered by the tentative national agreement are members of CWA, AFSCME, the Teamsters, Service Employees, American Federation of Teachers, United Auto Workers, Food and Commercial Workers and United Steelworkers.
