CWA Local 1170 has announced a Tentative agreement was reached at 3:45 PM on June 15. This Contract initially expired on January 31, 2011 and represents over 400 members. Locals all over the country joined in activities in support of the tough bargaining that has lasted over 6 months.

This is from the Local's web site:

The contract includes 8.25% in general wage increases over the 4 years, a $250 signing bonus, we maintained the 6% bonus payout with a minimum 4.5% guaranteed, expiration moves from January 31st to June 14th, 2015, enhanced separation allowance for the duration of the contract, greater protection against the use of contractors, and commitments to the CNOC center with additional jobs.

More information will follow after the Local's membership meeting.
