VERIZON WORKERS SEEKING; NO MORE THAN WHAT THEY HAVE | Staten Island Advance

I am a Verizon worker on strike for my livelihood versus Verizon Communications, which is trying to take away everything bargained for over the last 50 years.

We are not looking for anything more then we already have but they want to take everything away from us.

The backbone of Verizon is their land-line workers: Without us, they wouldn't have become the biggest cell phone service in the country. We are middle-class America; we are not six-figure office people making money off our blood and sweat.

Verizon made over $24 billion in profit over the 2009-2010 fiscal year.

We need our fellow union workers and workers of America to help us because you never know whose company or job will be the next one they go after.
