CWA RMC Annual Membership Meeting and Workshops

General Information
The CWA Retired Members' Council Bylaws, Article VII, Section 1, provides that the Council shall meet during the CWA International Convention. Therefore, this is to advise that the meeting will be held at the Washington Hilton, Washington, DC beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday, June 20, 2009. (Note: Registration begins at 8:00 am)
Workshops will be held on Sunday, June 21 beginning at 9:00 and ending at noon.
All CWA Retired Members' Council members are encouraged to attend. All other retirees and interested parties are welcome to attend as guests.

Delegates and guests to the Council's Annual Membership meeting may register by completing the registration form.

CWA Convention/Legislative-Political Conference
The CWA International Convention/Legislative-Political Conference will begin on Monday, June 22, 2009 at the Washington Hilton and end on Thursday, June 26. For more information, including links to the hotels and Washington, DC tourism site, visit http://www.cwa-secy-treas.org/2009Convention.htm
Housing Information
Delegates and guests attending the CWA Retired Members' Council Annual Membership Meeting, CWA Convention and/or CWA Legislative-Political Conference should make their hotel reservations in advance. The Washington Hilton will be the Headquarters Hotel. We will also be using the Omni Shoreham, Marriott Wardman Park and the Capital Hilton.

Delegate Allocation
The Council's Bylaws, Article VII, Section 4, calls for the delegate allocation as follows.
Each chapter shall be entitled to:
- One delegate if the chapter has less than 25 members
- Two delegates if the chapter has 25 or more but less than 50 members
- Three delegates if the chapter has 50 members or more but less than 75
- One additional delegate for each 75 members or major fraction thereof above 75 members
Registration Details
Complete a registration form for each person, indicating delegate or guest, and email, fax or mail by June 11 to CWA Retired Members' Council, 501 3rd St NW, Washington, DC 20001-2797. The email address and fax number are listed on the registration form.
Bring a photocopy of your registration with you.
Registration begins at 8:00 am on Saturday, June 20 at the Hilton.
Workshops
Workshops on several topics, including chapter building and a presentation by a Union Privilege representative, will take place at 9:00 am on Sunday, June 21. Location of the workshop will announced at the Annual Membership Meeting.
Agenda Topics
If Council members have a topic they wish to be discussed at the Annual Membership Meeting, please note it on the registration form. Every effort will be made to include these topics at the meeting.
