Verizon Communications thinks it can get away with anything.
They charge their customers outrageous fees while opposing open access to the Internet.
They earn billions in profit but pay nothing in federal corporate income taxes. They get millions in tax breaks from local governments while critical services go unfunded, the public debt load goes up, and individuals pay more.
They send thousands of jobs overseas and insist on deep cuts in worker pay and benefits, while rewarding their CEO by increasing his salary 200% to $23.1 million.
It’s time for consumers, workers, communities and elected officials to stand up to Verizon.
Call the FCC at 800-230-7676. Tell them to stop this cable deal because it will slam the door on jobs, consumers and our high speed future.
