CWA-Sprint Indiana Reach Tentative Agreement

November 14, 2005

Following is a summary of the tentative agreement reached between CWA and Sprint Indiana (Local 4700).

Three year agreement - contract will expire on September 30, 2008.

Wages will increase by 2 1/2% upon ratification; 1 1/4% each six months in the second and third year of the agreement.

Pension and Savings will increase by 2 1/2% each year of the 3 years. The basic contribution will increase from 5% to 6%.

Personal days will increase from five (5) to eight (8). Employees with less than one (1) year of service will accrue one (1) personal day for each full quarter completed.

Time and a half pay for Sunday work - reduced from double time.

Call out pay reduced from four (4) hours to three (3) hours.

STD pay changes.....details forthcoming.

Discount on local telephone service and features.

Retirement Savings Plan - The Company will contribute the Company matching contributions equal to 50% in the first year, 25% in the second year, and 25% in the third year of the agreement. Provide for diversification option for the Company contribution.

Eliminate Tech certification plan - red-circle any employees in those titles.

STD coordination with workers compensation benefits.

Title change from Communications Technician to Network Technician (no job or work/workers changes because of this title change).

Increase tools and uniform allowance to $75

Meals..New..$45 in "Metro area" - increased $10

Standby Time - increased to $145, $25 increase (7 day standby); increased to $70, $5 increase (Weekend standby)

EIPP - Increased to $525 (per month) increased $25; Increased to $25,200(Maximum amount) increased $1,200

Voluntary Benefits program..ie: Auto Ins., Homeowners Ins, Long term Care and other such coverage will be made available to the employee. The employees will be responsible for the cost of each component of the V.B. Program

The above represents the highlights of the tentative agreement between CWA and Sprint United Telephone Company of Indiana.

This tentative agreement has the FULL recommendation of the Union Bargaining committee.

If the contract ratifies on the first vote, the employees health insurance will be immediately reinstated to November 1st

A date for ratification on this tentative agreement has not been set yet. The local will set the date - more details on the voting will be forthcoming.
