Our Legacy T team met with the Company today to review language on two items: a revision of NTP to allow (voluntary) movement to and from AT&T Mobility and a letter on a “quota relief” trial. We also had discussion of the Success Share Plan and the savings plan.

In case any of you missed last night’s national Union call, the main message was that, while there has been serious progress on Local issues at two of the four tables, the big economic issues – wages, health care, and traditional pensions – are still far from settled.

Your Legacy T Bargaining team met all day yesterday and will be meeting today to try to narrow the gap on several key issues. While we have already TA’ed our current JOG language, which the company originally wanted to eliminate, we’re still working on preserving watermarks for Article 43 and the total Legacy T workforce and a maximum number for involuntary lay-offs (like we have in our current in our “Employment Security” agreement.)

Bargaining teams are reporting some progress and are calling on members to step up mobilization to show the companies that we’re serious about our fight to hold on to the American Dream.
