France Forces Call Centers to Fess Up

The week of October 3-9 CWA customer service professionals wore the same solidarity sticker as thousands of union customer service employees around the world. In addition education on the outsourcing of customer service jobs and events were held.

CWA has been discussing the issue of customer service outsourcing to other unions through our global union UNI.

Today we hear that France has ordered call center employees to divulge their location in an effort to curb outsourcing. CWA has attempted similar legislation in several U.S. States but we have not yet been successful.
