NOKIA BARGAINING REPORT #10

The Company and the Union met again today. The Company presented some of the data on Benefit, Medical Plan and Tuition Plan.

Your Bargaining Team passed a number of proposals, including Article 10, 11, 13 and 14. We also passed proposals on National language including pension increases and to keep post-retirement health, dental and group life language intact.

The Bargaining Team also had an open discussion with the Company over the Skill Certification Plan and how we can design something to address the future needs of the Company and our Members.

The Company still has not moved on it’s Third Party model proposal and eliminating the Bargaining Unit.

Remember - Mobilization is critical. Our jobs, livelihood and bargaining unit are riding on us getting a fair and equitable contract. The contract expiration date is set for June 30th. We need to keep mobilizing and continue to fight until we gat a fair contract that addresses job security and retiree health care.
