Wireless Conference Update

As you know, Puerto Rico was ravaged by hurricane Maria this week and the damage is catastrophic. As reports come in, it has become clear that we need to cancel the Wireless Conference, which was set for next month there. The Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan suffered some damage to the property.

The hotel sustained damage to their main ballroom, other public areas and some guest rooms were damaged. The available rooms and space they do have is being used to house people who have no other shelter and workers who are on the way to help clean up and restore power. If we were to move forward, we would be taking up space and resources needed for the recovery effort. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the members of Local 3010 in San Juan and all our brothers and sisters as they recover and rebuild.

In light of the situation in Puerto Rico, we are going to cancel next month’s planned Wireless Conference, and as soon as we have information on a new date and location we will let you know. We hope to find a suitable location and go forward early in 2018.

For those who have sent in the registration fee, we will hold it and you will be all set for the new date and location, which we hope to have for you very soon. If you registered someone who will not be attending the rescheduled event, let us know and we will issue a refund.

Thank you for your continued support,

In Solidarity,

Dennis G. Trainor
